Palestine
Over 60,000 German Jews immigrated to Palestine during the 1930s, most under the terms of the Haavara (Transfer) Agreement. This agreement between Germany and the Jewish authorities in Palestine facilitated Jewish emigration to Palestine. The main obstacle to emigration of Jews from Germany was German legislation banning the export of foreign currency. According to the agreement, Jewish assets in Germany would be disposed of in an orderly manner and the resulting capital transferred to Palestine through the export of German products. The British White Paper in May 1939, a policy statement approved by the British Parliament, contained measures that severely limited Jewish entry into Palestine.

How is one to call followers of the Bible a religion of peace? This ancient way of thinking is a ball and chain to humanity that plunged us into the Dark Ages for hundreds of years and it is so disgraceful and dangerous that it could literally lead to a nuclear war. The story of Jesus in the New Testament of the Christian Bible brought forth a new covenant between humans and God, proclaiming humans to never use violence. Jesus said you have heard you are to take an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth (as stated in the OT), but he then instructed humans to take up a new law (New Testament) where you are to turn the other cheek if someone strikes you. Those who live by the sword die by the sword. Blessed are the Peacemakers they shall be called sons of God. Are the teachings of Jesus. US mainstream Christianity needs to specifically prohibit genocide as well as the Gemara if the Mishnah doesn’t already.
It can be understandable that a religion wants to restore itself to it’s origins, especially if discrimination is involved. Even as it is the fact that a creation of the Third Temple would mean sacrificing animals again and burning them (because the Bible says YHWH loves the smell of burned flesh), women killing doves to “purify” them after menstruation etc. But if people in Judaism want to go back to an ancient fundamental way of living they can’t do it by killing innocent people and kicking them out of their homes. As Gandhi said they would need to commit Satyagraha and that there are hundreds of ways of dealing with this situation. Perhaps if the Third Temple was built more progressive reform rituals could be done. Either way, the Dome of the Rock is there today and perhaps an addition to the Rock could be made, or dual ownership of the area, etc. Muslims consider themselves the real people continuing the faith as well. This whole mess started for political reasons that went around the highest Rabbinical authorities to begin with, so this is cry for their religion really was not a legitimate starting point.
All because people believe their superstitious ways are so important and more important than living up to their core teaching of peace and ecumenism. People literally believe the world will end if they don’t put some rocks on top of each other and sacrifice animals, despite religions all over the world, and ones older than the Bible, exist. They believe their religion is right and is the only way to peace via a sword and isn’t it a coincidence it was the religion they were born into. Many Christians believe the world will end and “eternal paradise” will be issued when the Dome of the Rock is blown up the Third Temple built, a Jewish Messiah is anointed in this temple, who then be the anti-Christ (so Judeo Christian relations will once again be on very bad terms), and a thousand year rule of “Satan” will occur which will then be saved when Jesus comes down from the sky and abducts true believers into the sky. There are Christians who are working to see the end times in their lifetime, not all believe in millennialism and the 1000 year rule of the “anti-Christ.”

According to various international agencies, fourteen percent of the buildings of Gaza were partially or completely destroyed, including twenty-one thousand homes, seven hundred factories and businesses, sixteen hospitals, thirty-eight primary health-care centers, and two hundredand eighty schools. Two hundred and fifty wells were destroyed, three hundred thousand trees were uprooted, and large swaths of agricultural land were made no longer arable, in part because of contamination and unexploded ordnance.(p.60)
Gaza is a sea of children. The average woman there has 5.1 children, one of the highest birth rates in the world. More than half the population is eighteen or younger. (p.49)
There is very little for children to do in Gaza. The Israeli blockade includes a ban on toys, so the only playthings available have been smuggled, at a premium, through tunnels from Egypt. (p.49)
The main diversion for children is the beach, and on Fridays, after noon prayers, the shore is massed with families. Unlike the topaz waters of Tel Aviv, here the sea is murky, a consequence of twenty million gallons of raw and partially treated sewage that is dumped off shore every day. The main water-treatment plant is broken, and because of the blockades the spare parts that would fix it are unavailable. (p.49)
When John Kerry, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, visited Gaza in February of this year, he asked why pasta wasn’t allowed in. Soon, macaroni was passing through the checkpoints, but jam was taken off the list. (p.50)

Despite the accuracy of such weapons, Israeliand Palestinian human-rights groups reported that eighty-seven civilians were killed by drone strikes, including twelve people who were waiting for a U.N. bus. (p.59)
A military rabbi told soldiers, “No pity, God protects you, everything you do is sanctified,” and “this is a holy war.” (p.59)
Human Rights Watch has reported eleven instances of Israeli troops shooting civilians carrying white flags, including five women and four children–one of many incidents that human rights groups say may constitute a war crime. (p.59-60)

I was present more than once as Israeli troops drew out and shot Palestinian children in this way. Such incidents, in the Israeli lexicon, become children caught in crossfire. This became a surgical strike on a bomb-making factory. These “traditional tactics” to influence Congress also enable the lobby to put pressure on the executive branch when it takes actions that are considered to be not in Israel’s interest. When that happens, the president or cabinet official is likely to get a hard-hitting letter from one or both houses of Congress, singed by most of its members, as President Gerald Ford did when he threatened a reassessment of U.S.-Israel relations in 1975. President Bush got a similar letter in April 2002, when he briefly sought to pressure Israel to end a large-scale military incursion in the Occupied Territories. The lopsided percentage of signatories for each of these letters is eloquent testimony to AIPAC’s ability to twist arms. Another senator, speaking on condition of anonymity, told a Washington Post reporter in 1991, “My colleages think AIPAC is a very very powerful organization that is ruthless, and very, very alert. Eighty percent of the senators here roll their eyes on some of the votes. If their work had been more widely known and the facts they exposed had reached more of the American electorate, I feel it is quite possible that some of today’s deeply erroneous policies might have been avoided — and that numerous individuals now dead might be living. My hope to change this situation has motivated my own small contribution. Any mistakes in the following volume are, of course, my own.

For example, I discovered that large numbers of Palestinian children were being killed by Israeli forces, many of them through gunfire to the head — and that they had been killed before the far smaller number of Israeli children who eventually began also to be tragically killed. Similarly, I found that over 140 Palestinians of all ages had been killed before any Israelis in Israel, even though the media consistently were referring to Israeli violence as retaliatory.

Descriptions of the massacres, by both Palestinians and Israelis, are nightmarish. An Israeli eyewitness reported that at the village of al-Dawayima:
“The children they killed by breaking their heads with sticks. There was not a house without dead . . . . One soldier boasted that he had raped a woman and then shot her.”238
One Palestinian woman testified that a man shot here nine-month-pregnant sister and then cut her stomach open with a butcher knife.239
One of the better-documented massacres occurred in a small, neutral Palestinian village called Deir Yassin in April 1948 — before any Arab armies had joined the war. A Swiss Red Cross representative was one of the first to arrive on the scene, where he found 254 dead, including 145 women, 35 of them pregnant. 240
Witnesses reported that the attackers lined up families — men, women, grandparents and children, even infants — and shot them. 241
An eyewitness and future colonel in the Israeli military later wrote of the militia members: “They don’t know how to fight, but as murderers they were pretty good.”242
The Red Cross representative who found the bodies at Deir Yassin arrived in time to see some of the killing in action. He wrote in his diary that Zionist militia members were still entering houses with guns and knives when we arrived. He saw one young Jewish woman carrying a blood-covered dagger and saw another stab an old couple in their doorway. The representative wrote that the scene reminded him of S.S. troops he had seen in Athens.243
Richard Catling, British assistant inspector general for the criminal investigation division, reported on “sexual atrocities” committed by Zionist forces. “Many young school girls were raped and later slaughtered,” he reported. “Old women were also molested.” 244
The Deir Yassin attack was perpetuated by two Zionist militias and coordinated with the main Zionist forces, whose elite unit participated in part of the operation.245 The heads of the two militias, Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Shamir, later became Prime Ministers of Israel.

The State Department, fully aware of his violent activities in Palestine, tried to reject Begin’s visa but was overruled by Truman.250
Begin later proudly admitted his terrorism in an interview for American television. When the interviewer asked him, “How does it feel, in the light of all that’s going on, to be the father of terrorism in the Middle East?” Begin proclaimed, “In the Middle East? In all the world!”251

Few if any of these Christian supporters had any idea that the creation of the Jewish state would entail a massive expulsion of hundreds of thousands of non-Jews, who made up the large majority of Palestine’s population, creating a new and much longer lasting refugee problem.
Nor did they learn that during and after Israel’s founding in 1947-49 war, Zionist forces attacked a number of Christian sites. Donal Nefff, former Time Magazine Jerusalem bureau chief and author of five books on Israel-Palestine, reports in detail on Zionist attacks on Christian sites in May 1948, the month of Israel’s birth.
Neff tells us that a group of Christian leaders complained that month that Zionists had killed and wounded hundreds of people, including children, refugees and clergy, at Christian churches and humanitarian institutions.

Emanuel’s father Benjamin was part of the Israeli assassin team that murdered Sweden’s Count [Folke] Bernadotte in ’48. Benjamin Emanuel, a Jew from Russia whose real name was Ezekiel Auerbach, was arrested by British police for terrorist activities in the months prior to Israeli independence. Many of the British policemen killed by Emanuel and his Irgun colleagues between 1947 and 1948 had been transferred to Palestine upon Indian and Pakistani independence in 1947. Irgun saw the increase of British policemen from the Indian subcontinent as a major threat.
The Jewish terrorist murders of British troops and policemen resulted in massive anti-Jewish riots in London, Liverpool, Glasgow, Manchester, and Cardiff in 1947. In 1946, Emanuel’s Irgun bombed the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, killing 91 people, including 28 British soldiers and policemen.

Israel uses sophisticated attack jets and naval vessels to bomb densely-crowded refugee camps, schools, apartment blocks, mosques, and slums to attack a population that has no air force, no air defense, no navy, no heavy weapons, no artillery units, no mechanized armor, no command in control, no army… and calls it a war. It is not a war, it is murder.
When Israelis in the occupied territories now claim that they have to defend themselves, they are defending themselves in the sense that any military occupier has to defend itself against the population they are crushing. You can’t defend yourself when you’re militarily occupying someone else’s land. That’s not defense. Call it what you like, it’s not defense.”
